Fused glass is an ancient art form that was popular with the Romans and Egyptians from 1500 to 500 BC. Layers of compatible glass are fused together in a kiln and then slumped into or over a mold to make plates, bowls, jewelry and all sorts of decorative art. Glass fusing employs the beauty of glass without the limitations of leaded glass.
Libby Kirk has worked with leaded stained glass for 25 years and with fused glass since 1994.
