Jody is a landscape painter who loves the colors and atmospheres of the coast and inland areas. Her paintings have the feel of a poetic storyteller, her colors are as strong and soft as her brushstrokes are varied,.
Sonoma County is her subject, starting from her home territory of our rocky coast, reaching into all the inland areas in search of the incredible colors that define our most beautiful county.
"I discovered Bodega Bay in the sixties and have been drawn to the area for many years. I feel revitalized with all the farm scenery, love of the barn and color everywhere. I like to go out to an area I want to paint, make sketches to start painting, use my digital camera and return to my studio filled with inspiration."
